PROJECTS or ESSAYS?
The following is a list of projects available for students to create in lieu of completing essays in each unit activity. You will need the approval of Mr. Lukaszewski prior to the creation of each project. Please provide Mr. Lukaszewski a short explanation about your concept for the that unit's project.

ANGLO-SAXONS
For this project, you'll need to create a presentation that discusses morality during the Anglo-Saxon era. This presentation can be displayed in a variety of ways. You could create a short series of graphics similar to a graphic novel or comic strip, a video presentation of actors/actresses that are exposing the ills of society from this era, or a review of the moral issues in a presentation format similar to the use of a Prezi or a Pecha Kucha.

A rubric will be used to grade this project. You will find the rubric here.

RENAISSANCE
There are many different versions of Hamlet on film currently available to preview.  Your project will need to be a comparison of at least two of these presentations. You will need to critique at least two of these versions. This may be accomplished by creating either an audio or video presentation, a storyboard comparison, or a presentation in a format similar to the use of a Prezi or a Pecha Kucha

A rubric will be used to grade this project. You will find the rubric here.

NEOCLASSICISM
During the Neoclassic Era, change was occurring throughout the world. There was a push by authors to standardize our language by providing various rules. There was also a push for individual freedoms. In this project you will need to discuss the need for rules as well as individual expression. Projects in this unit can take the form of a rap or folk song that you create, or a series of posters (a minimum of two - one on rules of English and one on individual expression).

A rubric will be used to grade this project. You will find the rubric here.
